Zinc Selenide Lens
The Zinc Selenide lens produced by GiAi has very good light transmittance in the 0.6-16μm band, and it also provides products with two surfaces coated with a broadband antireflection coating in the 8-12μm band. The antireflection coating greatly reduces the high reflectivity of the substrate, and the average transmittance in the entire wavelength range exceeds 97%. Zinc selenide (ZnSe) lenses are generally used as collimators in the 0.6-16.0μm wavelength range, such as biomedical and military applications. Due to the low absorption rate of ZnSe, these lenses are also particularly suitable for high-power CO2 laser applications.
