Sapphire Windows

The Sapphire windows are optically AR coated to maximise the transmission on all grades of Sapphire. It is highly transparent in the ultra violet (UV) visible to the mid infrared (IR) range. The AR optically coating can be either be deposited on one side or two sides of the component. The standard AR coatings include the UV 250nm-400nm, the visible range 400nm-700nm going into the IR 700nm-1100nm. For the AR mid infrared coatings these included 750nm-1550nm and 2-5 microns. For single wavelength ‘V’ coats these can be for 1064nm or any single wavelength required. They are widely used for imaging applications and camera, laser and protection windows.
